  • Why can’t I see your full portfolio of your work?
    A large part of my portfolio of work is technical writing that is proprietary to the hospitals I am employed by and protected by HIPPAA. My technical writing experience includes my time as a Quality Improvement Nurse including deconstruction and interpretation of regulatory statistical data and as an Audit and Appeals Nurse scrutinizing DRG and CPT code denials in order to craft appeal letters in response to these denials.
  • What are your qualifications?
    I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and am a Registered Nurse. I am licensed in the following states: Iowa (compact state; Illinois, and New York). I have worked in Critical Care and Interventional Radiology which I specialized in for 10 years with a Certified Radiology Nurse certification. I also worked as a Quality Improvement Nurse and Infection Preventions Nurse with certifications in Root Cause Analysis. I currently work in the Clinical Documentation Integrity department as a Recovery Audit and Appeals Nurse.
